Tessenderlo (Brussels / Belgium; www.tessenderlo.com) is strengthening the position of its plastic pipe systems business unit in Europe through the acquisition of Nyloplast Europe, a subsidiary of Nyloplast (Gravendeel / The Netherlands; www.nyloplast.nl). The deal is subject to the approval of the extraordinary general assembly of Tessenderlo, which is expected to be held before the end of November 2008. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Nyloplast Europe manufactures large-diameter plastic fittings for pressureless draining, sewage and rain water pipe systems in the European market. The company employs around one hundred people and has a turnover of EUR 13.5m.
