Illinois Tool Works (ITW, Glenview, Illinois / USA; www.itw.com) is to sell its countertop, floor and adhesive manufacturing unit Wilsonart International (Temple, Texas / USA; www.wilsonart.com) along with related laminate businesses in its decorative surfaces segment. In 2007, the segment had revenues of USD 1.2 bn (EUR 805m). Wilsonart manufacturers and distributes a variety of custom construction products for commercial, residential and renovation applications including decorative laminate, solid surface, flooring, decorative materials and custom edges. The sale includes the Polyrey and Resopal brands in France and Germany respectively and businesses in the UK, Thailand and China.
