Lubrizol buys out Noveon
Lubrizol Corporation (Wickliffe, Ohio / USA; www.lubrizol.com) will pay USD 1.84 bn to acquire Noveon International Inc (Cleveland, Ohio / USA; www.noveoninc.com), speciality chemicals spin-off of the former B.F. Goodrich with annual sales of around USD 1.2 bn. The deal, which will merge the two companies into a new USD 3.2 bn global player, is set to close within the next three months. Noveon, with European headquarters at Brussels, produces, among other things, TPU und PVC compounds. Lubrizol is a leading player in speciality additives for plastics and fluid technologies.
