Packaging producer Weener Plastics (WP, Ede / The Netherlands; www.wppg.com) has announced that its CEO of six years, Roel Zeevat, has decided to start the next phase of his career outside the group. Anthonie Zoomers, who has extensive management experience, has taken over as interim CEO.

Zeevat became the head of WP in 2013 after the company was acquired by private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg (New York, New York / USA; www.lindsaygoldbergllc.com) – see Plasteurope.com of 24.06.2013. In his capacity as chief executive, Zeevat managed the merger of WP with Netherlands-based packaging producer Plasticum, of which he had previously been CEO.
