HVAC components in Turkey
Visteon (Dearborn, Michigan / USA; www.visteon.com) has begun production of automotive climate control components and systems in Turkey at a new facility operated by its 70% Korean joint venture Halla Climate Control. The plant, located in Gebze, manufactures and assembles heating, ventilation and air conditioning units and cooling modules for the sub-compact Hyundai "Accent". The new plant employs around 150 people and is expected to reach full capacity by October of this year. Visteon plans to increase the production capacity in the country and is currently evaluating opportunities.
