German company expands plant in Poland / Automotive anti-vibration components made from microcellular PU
Vibracoustic (Darmstadt / Germany; www.vibracoustic.com) is expanding its Polish plant "Sroda Slaska I" in Środa Śląska, with an investment of around EUR 4m. The company supplies vibration control solutions for the automotive industry, and produces conventional and hydraulic chassis bearings at the production plant.

The expansion will create new capacities for microcellular polyurethane (MCU) foam components, among other things, and Vibracoustic will also be setting up a prototype construction unit at the site. A total of 50 jobs will be created. The Sroda Slaska I plant currently employees 360 people, with an additional 400 or so on payroll at its sister factory, Sroda Slaska II.

Vibracoustic is a former joint venture between Freudenberg (Weinheim / Germany; www.freudenberg.com) and Trelleborg (Trelleborg / Sweden; www.trelleborg.com), and it has been wholly owned by the Weinheim-based technology group since 2016. In 2017, the company recorded sales of EUR 2.1 bn.
