At the same time, Vestas has completed its acquisition of rotor blade production facilities in Goleniów, Poland. CEO Henrik Andersen and newly appointed CTO Felix Henseler, in post since 1 September 2025, see strong potential in both markets.

Vestas did not provide specific details on the planned investments at the Taranto site, which has been operating since 1998. However, the ministry stated that production of 150 rotor blades is scheduled at the site in 2025.
In the second quarter of 2025, Vestas generated revenue of EUR 3.75 bn and an adjusted EBIT of EUR 57 mn. This corresponds to an EBIT margin of just 1.5% – but at least it is no longer negative, as it was in the same period last year. Meanwhile, order intake dropped by 44% to 2,009 MW, though by the end of June the order books still contained equipment worth over EUR 31 bn. CEO Andersen maintained the full-year forecast, expecting revenue between EUR 18 bn and 20 bn and an EBIT margin of 4% to 7%.
