New SK Chemicals “Ecozen” co-polyester has improved transparency
European distributor Velox (Hamburg / Germany; www.velox.com) said it is now supplying a new, enhanced range of SK Chemicals’ (Seoul / South Korea; www.skchemicals.com) bio-based “Ecozen” PET glycol (PETG) for injection moulding and film extrusion applications. SK Chemicals has modified the Ecozen co-polyester lines, improving transparency and performance. Velox said the material is suitable for glass replacement applications in the cosmetics and packaging industries. The company provides the new range in nearly all European countries.

“The colour tone of the material has been drastically improved, having become perfectly suited for clear crystal- or glass-like applications,” said François Minec, general manager at Velox. Benefits of Ecozen include easy processing, energy efficiency, high printability, recyclability and impact strength.
