Distribution of Ilium's glass fibre materials in Europe
German distributor Velox (Hamburg; www.velox.com), which specialises in composites manufacturing materials, has now added glass fibre non-crimp fabrics from Ilium Composites (Manama / Bahrain; www.iliumcomposites.com). The Hamburg-based company will distribute the materials throughout Europe, with a focus on the German-speaking regions as well as Spain.

Since 2012, Ilium Composites has been producing, among other things, long glass fibre chopped mats without binders using a special process – see Plasteurope.com of 07.04.2011. The glass fibre products are intended especially for closed mould processes, such as resin transfer moulding (RTM), as well as pultrusion processes. Ilium annually produces around 15,000 t of glass fibre-reinforcement materials for the composites industry.
