Raw materials distributor Velox (Hamburg / Germany; www.velox.com) has added three cost-saving grades to its range of “Asaclean” purging compounds. Developed by Asahi Kasei (Tokyo / Japan; www.asahi-kasei.co.jp), “Asaclean C” is suitable for all thermoplastics in the 180°C to 360°C temperature range; “Asaclean CP” has been designed to purge all polyolefins in the 170°C to 300°C range; and “Asaclean CG” is a glass filled compound for efficient and quick removal of heavy contamination or burnt material in the barrel. Velox says that all three grades significantly decrease downtime and material usage in colour and material changes and machine sealings at a competitive price.
