High-performance polymers from OPM added to European portfolio
Raw materials distributor Velox (Hamburg / Germany; www.velox.com) has added the "Oxpekk" (PEK / PEEK) range from US specialist Oxford Performance Materials (OPM, Enfield, Connecticut / USA; www.oxfordpm.com) to its resin portfolio for Europe. The high-performance polymer has very good chemical stability, excellent heat resistance and superior mechanical properties, says Velox. The Oxpekk range is available in amorphous, semi-crystalline, glass or carbon fibre-reinforced forms as well as special grades for medical use. The main areas of application are the aviation, oil/gas, medical technology and electronics industries.
