PHB buy signals move into plastics recycling / Search for investor to secure growth targets
Waste services provider Van Gansewinkel Group (Eindhoven / The Netherlands; www.vangansewinkel.com), which last month entered the plastics recycling market through the acquisition of Plastic Herverwerking Brabant (PHB, Waalwijk / the Netherlands; www.phb-recycling.com), has said it is seeking a partner to help the company achieve its "ambitious growth targets".
Shareholders and management of Van Gansewinkel, which is expected to report turnover of around EUR 600m in 2006, believe the company can play an important role in the rapidly consolidating European waste services market and are looking for an investment partner to help achieve this aim.
The PHB acquisition brought with it affiliate company and recycling equipment and service provider Envirotec. PHB recycles a range of plastics waste streams, including PS, ABS, PP, PET and contaminated plastics materials. PHB and Envirotec have a combined annual turnover of over EUR 3m and will become part of Van Gansewinkel´s recycling subsidiary, the Coolrec Group.
