The agreement covers recycled materials from the Vyteen, Vystyrene, and Vypet brands based on PET/PBT, ABS, HIPS, and polycarbonate. Lavergne uses post-consumer material from the E&E collection as its base material, which is then partially equipped with flame retardants and glass-fibre reinforcement. Lavergne estimates the PCR material content to be between 85% and 100%.

The plant at the latter, which was established in 2022, is expected to reach a capacity of 20,000 t of recycled material per year in the medium term. The target markets for the materials are the automotive industry, consumer electronics, household appliances, and office furniture.
In North America, M. Holland (Northbrook, Illinois, USA; www.mholland.com) has been Lavergne’s distribution partner since 2023.
