ULTRAPOLYMERS
Medical polymer agreements with Ineos and LyondellBasell extended across Europe
Belgian distributor Ultrapolymers (Lommel; www.ultrapolymers.com) has expanded its portfolio of medical polymer solutions by extending its distribution agreements with Ineos Styrolution (Frankfurt / Germany; www.ineos-styrolution.com) and with the styrenic specialities business of LyondellBasell (Houston, Texas / USA; www.lyondellbasell.com). The distribution agreement with Ineos Styrolution’s styrenic specialities business has been expanded to include Europe. Ineos Styrolution’s transparent styrenic specialities include “Terlux HD”, “Styrolux”, “NAS”, “Zylar”, “K-Resin” and “Styroflex”.

Ultrapolymers has also expanded its portfolio to include LyondellBasell’s phthalate-free “Purell” EP370S and Purell RP375R PP polyolefin resins. Purell EP370S is a nucleated PP copolymer combining high stiffness and low temperature impact resistance with good flow properties. It is suitable for use in thin-walled medical equipment and lab ware, as well as for dental applications. Purell RP375R is a PP random copolymer featuring high flowability and transparency, with a tailored additive package for gamma/x-ray irradiation and sterilisation.
