TREXEL
Series III "MuCell" systems for small injection moulding machines
Trexel (Woburn, Massachusetts / USA; www.trexel.com) has introduced its Series III “MuCell” dosing system, designed for small injection moulding machines using screw sizes of 40 mm or less. Engel (Schwertberg / Austria; www.engelglobal.com) and Arburg (Lossburg / Germany; www.arburg.com) have said they will offer the Series III system as an option on their smaller machines. Trexel expects to sign up more machinery manufacturers shortly.

Using an all-electric pulse dosing technology, the Series III system provides accurate and repeatable discontinuous dosing for MuCell microcellular foam production, Trexel said.

The US company has priced the system, including the supercritical fluid (SCF) system, interface kit and all operating rights, at between USD 55,000 and USD 75,000. While the Series III has been designed for integration into existing and new small machine designs, it can also be sold as a stand-alone package.
