Building materials specialist tremco illbruck (Cologne / Germany; www.tremco-illbruck.com) has expanded production capacities at three of its nine locations in the past year. At its PU foams site in Arkel / The Netherlands, a new tank installation has been integrated into the production of the "JF100" joint filler. At its sealant manufacturing site in Istanbul / Turkey, a plant for processing products with high viscosities was installed, which speeds up the production of secondary sealants for insulating glass.

In Wigan / UK, a coating plant for mineral fibreboards was put into operation at a manufacturing site for fire safety products. This results in a more efficient process to manufacture the "FB750" fire-resistant sealant. The acrylic sealant is awaiting EU approval and is planned to be available outside of the UK by the end of this year.
