Production at expansion of Suzhou facility begins / Plant in Vietnam to start in 2023
Adhesive tape manufacturer Tesa (Hamburg / Germany; www.tesa.de) said it started production in the expanded areas of its plant in Suzhou / China at the beginning of April 2021. One of the most modern clean room production facilities in the world, according to the company, the plant was built on 15,000 m2 in spring 2019.

In the future, production in the area is expected to include optically clear acrylate-based special adhesive tapes for electronic devices. The Hamburg-based company has invested EUR 32m in the expansion of the site.

Further investments in the Asian market are planned; the construction of a plant in Vietnam with an investment of EUR 55m is scheduled. From 2023, adhesive tapes will also be produced there for the Asian market.
