As of 1 January 2026, Syensqo (Brussels; www.syensqo.com) is set to appoint a new CEO, the speciality chemicals group announced. Ilham Kadri is stepping down, and her successor is set to be Michael Radossich, currently head of the group’s Performance & Care and Other Solutions division.
Radossich joined the former Solvay in 2015 through its acquisition of composites specialist Cytec – a company that was split two years ago into Syensqo and the new Solvay. A chemical engineer by training, he was notably responsible for the strategic repositioning of the Novecare business unit.

Chair of the board, Rosemary Thorne, thanked Kadri for her leadership, describing her as “the architect of the successful separation that gave rise to two strong companies”. That said, the reality in the second quarter of 2025 tells a more mixed story. Revenue and earnings declined in some areas, and the company’s outlook was only just maintained – largely due to ongoing uncertainty around the impact of global tariff fluctuations.
