Organisers expect around 1,000 delegates and more than 130 speakers, including representatives from Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, Colgate-Palmolive, Tesco, PepsiCo, and Mondelēz.

A central focus is expected to be the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and its implications for the industry. Representatives of the European Commission, industry association Europen, and other organisations are prepared to discuss regulatory requirements, implementation challenges, and the outlook for packaging legislation.

Further sessions are to address extended producer responsibility (EPR), plastics recycling, reusable packaging systems, and the role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence. Consultancy Systemiq is also scheduled to unveil a new global platform providing data on the end-of-life management of plastic packaging waste.

The programme is to include discussions on material-specific developments in plastics and paper, as well as networking opportunities for packaging producers, brand owners, retailers, policymakers, and technology providers.

The Sustainability Awards ceremony on 11 November are to recognise ground-breaking innovations in the industry. The following international block party is expected to bring partners and speakers together for an evening of food, drinks, and live music.

The event dates, venue, speaker programme, and networking activities are also confirmed on the organiser’s website. View the full agenda here.
