Representatives of Airbus subsidiary Stelia Aerospace (Toulouse / France; www.stelia-aerospace.com) on 24 June laid the cornerstone for the company’s new headquarters in Colomiers, near Toulouse / France. The building comprises 15,000 m² of office space, and is due for completion in early 2018. It will house 900 administrative staff and engineers.
Stelia Airospace was established by Airbus early last year through the merger of the previously independent suppliers Aerolia and Sogerma (see Plasteurope.com of 12.01.2015). Carbon fibre-reinforced plastics make up a large part of its product portfolio. Headed by president Cedric Gautier, Stelia Airospace operates 11 plants, and its 6,100 workers posted sales of about EUR 2 bn in 2015.
