Sanitary products market merger: Elephant's wedding with DM 700m turnover
The Dutch market leader in the sanitary market, NV Koninklijke Sphinx (PO Box 1050, NL-6802 BB Maastricht) and the Swedish manufacturer AB Gustavsberg (Gustavsberg) have merged their companies into the new company Koninklijke Sphinx-Gustavsberg (KSG). The new group has 4,000 employees with European sales of DM 700m. Sphinx also owns Wisa BV (PO Box 2194, NL-6802 CD Arnhem), a specialist in plastic flushing products for the bathroom and WC. Gustavsburg took over Koralle Sanitärprodukte GmbH & Co KG (D-32591 Vlotho) with its subsidiaries in England, France, Austria and Switzerland in 1991. Schock Bad GmbH (D-91752 Treuchlingen) is also a member of the Sphinx group.
