"WindowCan" packaging presented / Transparent window as a buying incentive
Consumer goods and industry packaging manufacturer Sonoco (Hartsville, South Carolina / USA; www.sonoco.com) has presented its new "WindowCan" packaging. The can is designed to combine the advantages of composite containers with those of plastic packaging through a transparent window in the label. The WindowCan was first presented at "Interpack 2017".

Produced by the in-mould labelling (IML) process, the packaging is designed to give the consumer a view of the contents and gives an incentive for an impulse purchase. Customers can convince themselves of the quality, freshness and general aesthetics of the products before they make their purchase.
The laser-cut paper label can be designed as required on both the inside and the outside. It is possible for the window to be cut out in the shape of a company logo, for example.
