Additives producer expands Biesterfeld distribution partnership into Southeast Europe

South Korean additives producer Songwon (Ulsan; www.songwon.com) has announced the extension of its partnership with German distributor Biesterfeld (Hamburg; www.biesterfeld.com). According to Songwon, the cooperation grants the distributor exclusive rights for its full range of polymer stabilisers across seven Southeastern European countries.

As of 1 July, Biesterfeld handles Songwon’s polymer additive portfolio in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Romania. This move builds on Biesterfeld’s existing distribution rights for Songwon products in major European markets, including Germany, France, and Italy, the company said.

The expanded partnership aims to strengthen Songwon’s regional presence and improve access to products such as Songnox antioxidants, Songsorb UV absorbers, and Songxtend stabiliser solutions. According to the company, these additives are used in industries ranging from automotive and packaging to construction and agriculture, helping protect plastics from degradation caused by heat, light, and mechanical stress.
Applications span a broad range of sectors, including mobility components like bumpers and dashboards as well as food packaging, construction films, cable sheathing, and greenhouse coverings.
