Second TPU production line in South Korea
Songwon (Ulsan / South Korea; www.songwon.com) has announced it is installing a second production line for thermoplastic urethanes (TPU) in Suwon / South Korea. The company says this increases its capacity from 7,000 t/y to 12,000 t/y of TPU. The new line is to start operation in the fourth quarter of 2017, and will produce extrusion grades for the wires and cables as well as film and sheet applications. Songwon has sales organisations in Asia, Europe and North America, and says it plans to expand its global business "by offering a broad portfolio of technically advanced, customised urethane products."
