A new tooling and composites supplier was born on 1 January 2016. SikaAxson made its debut at the start of this year, following Sika’s (Baar / Switzerland; www.sika.com) purchase of Axson Technologies (Cergy / France; www.axson-technologies.com) in 2015 (see Plasteurope.com of 28.01.2015). The producer of block materials, model pastes, vacuum casting resins, RIM systems, composite and lamination systems, EP and PU casting resins, structural adhesives and elastomer casting resins will have annual turnover of about EUR 130m, and a workforce of about 450.

The new PU and epoxy resins player will cater to a range of end markets, including automotive, nautical, aviation, sports and leisure as well as construction. It also engages in tool construction and prototyping. SikaAxson is headed by Morten Mischak.
