Management buys PU producer Resina Chemie
As part of Shell Chemicals´ (GB-London ) rapidly progressing scheme to exit the polymers sector, Dutch subsidiary Shell Nederland Chemie BV has sold its polyurethanes subsidiary, Resina Chemie BV (NL-9607 PS Foxhol), to the company´s management. Acquired by the Shell group in 1987, Resina develops, produces and sells fully formulated polyol-based polyurethane systems. As one of Europe´s larger independent producers of PU systems, it has annual turnover of more than EUR 25m and supplies mainly markets in Benelux, France and Germany. Resina´s general manager Fred Bouwmeester initiated the MBO and will continue to head management. Bouwmeester said he is “determined” to further develop the company´s product range and market positions.
