SCHOELLER ALLIBERT
IBC made entirely of polyethylene / Production based in Spain
The intermediate bulk container (IBC) developed by Schoeller Allibert (Hoofddorp / The Netherlands; www.schoellerallibert.com) is made of 100% polyethylene and gets by without the usual metal support cage. This not only makes it insensitive to corrosive chemicals but also means its components can be fully recycled. With a central filling opening located in the top, the company says it is compatible with all the standard filling systems and washing stations. A specially shaped base ensures good residual emptying.

The container, which can be used in the chemical, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and food industries, is suitable for ambient temperatures from -18°C to +40°C. With a height of 1,323 mm and weighing 137 kg, the IBC can hold up to 2,200 kg. It can be fitted with an IoT-based track and trace system as an option, allowing its location, temperature and liquid level to be monitored.

The IBC is manufactured at the Spanish production plant in Palau-Solità i Plegamans near Barcelona. An existing production and assembly line has been converted for the new IBC at the site.
