German MMA/PMMA producer Röhm (Darmstadt; www.roehm.com) has announced a new brand name for its methacrylate monomers. Going forwards, the company will use the trademark “Meracryl, replacing its “Visiomer” brand.
The company, which regards itself as the world’s second largest producer of MMA, said it is consolidating monomers such as MMA, methacrylic acid, butyl methacrylate, hydroxyesters and methacrylamides under the “Meracryl” name.
Röhm was part of Evonik (Essen / Germany; www.evonik.com) until 1 August 2019, when it transferred to private investor Advent International (Boston, Massachusetts / USA; www.adventinternational.com) – see Plasteurope.com of 06.08.2019.
