Expansion of the plastics division: Acquisitions in Spain and France
Röchling Sustaplast KG (PO Box 1357, D-56103 Lahnstein) and Röchling Haren KG (PO Box 1249, D-49724 Haren) which are active in the plastics division of the Röchling group (HQ: Richard-Wagner-Str. 9, D-68165 Mannheim) have increased their commitments in the technical plastics field through further acquisitions. With the purchase of Somaplast Srl (Via G. Galilei 5, I-21057 Oligate Olona, VA), Röchling Sustaplast acquired one of the most innovative companies of the so-called "3 P" semi-finished products (POM, PA, PET). Production, Italian distribution and mechanical engineering are united in this company. Somaplast contributes more than 25 years of experience in extrusion.
In late March, Röchling Engineering Sarl (Technopole Forbach Sud, F-57600 Forbach), a subsidiary of Röchling Haren KG, took over Permali Composites SA (8, Rue A. Fruchard, F-54320 Maxeville). Glass fibre and wood composite materials, hard paper and laminated fabrics as well as compression-moulded composite parts are included in the range of products of this company. – Press release: "With the purchase of these companies, Röchling aims at extending its own know-how in the areas of production and processing of technical plastics, at supplementing technology and the range of products and at increasing its presence in important foreign markets. The target for 1995 is to achieve a turnover of DM 250m with 1000 employees."
