Due to continuing high demand, Röchling Haren KG (PO Box 1460, D-49726 Haren) intends to extend capacity in the extrusion and pressing area. In late April it is planned to put into operation a plastic press of the format 6 x 2 m, in the newly built pressing plant. Another extruder for the production of large sized PE and PP sheets is expected to start running in late summer. Since December 1994, Röchling Haren's thermoplastics business line has been certified in accordance with DIN ISO 9001. The company was, thus, one of the first enterprises in the field of plastic press plate manufacturing to be awarded this certificate.

Röchling Haren manufacture semi-finished products – sheets, round rods and profiles – and finished products made of "Lignostone" (synthetic-resin-compressed wood), "Durostone" (fibre reinforced plastics) and "Polystone" (PE and PP). The assembly units are used in chemical apparatus production and plant construction, in mechanical engineering, in the general and luxury food industry, in the beverage and packaging industry and in the field of environmental protection and materials-handling technology. Röchling Haren has subsidiaries in Great Britain, USA, Singapore, Italy, France and Austria.
