RPC
Thermoforming factory closed in the UK
The RPC Bebo division of RPC (Higham Ferrers / UK; www.rpc-group.com) has closed its plant in Bristol with the loss of 50 jobs. The plant produced thermoformed containers, mainly for the food industry, but has been closed as part of an exercise to make the Bebo business more competitive.
Production has been transferred to the division“s main UK thermoforming site in Corby, where the company believes there are opportunities to expand the business in the market for convenience and freshly prepared foods. RPC acquired the Bristol plant in 1998.
