Royalite Plastics Ltd (Clifton Hall Road, Newbridge, GB-Midlothian EH28 8TW) has acquired the Italian industrial sheet producer Nuova Sopla S.p.A. (Via Campo di Maggio 17, I-21020 Brunello / VA). The company, which operates 5 extrusion lines, makes ABS and PMMA sheet. Royalite already operates a substantial sheet extrusion plant in Italy, Royalite Plastics S.r.l. (Via Volontari Libertà, I-20010 Vittuone / MI). According to md Richard Donell, the operations of the two companies will be combined in a new factory based at Cuggiono, near Milan, by October 1998. This will have the effect of increasing Royalite's capacity in Italy from its present level of around 12,000 t/y to 18,000 t/y by the end of 1998. Royalite is owned by British Vita PLC (Oldham Road, Middleton, GB-Manchester M24 2DB).
