As part of a global project aimed at totally renewing its range of thermoforming machinery, Rigo Group (Via V Forcella 3, I-20144 Milan) has brought out a new in-line unit for production of refrigerator liners. The multi-oven machine works with 4mm high impact polystyrene sheet and is capable of producing up to 110 pieces a hour. Normal production rate would be 100 pieces/hour, compared with the 70-80 cycles an hour of most existing equipment.

The modular machine has a small footprint, allows fast tool changes and is easy to maintain. It operates at low noise levels and completed parts are cooled to 45-50° C, 10-15° C lower than is normal with this type of thermoforming plant.
