New investment programme at Swedish plastic films producer
The board of directors of Skanem AS (N-4093 Stavanger; www.skanem.com) and Riflex Film AB (www.riflexfilm.se) has announced investments in new calander rolls at Riflex' plant in Ronneby / Sweden as part of an ongoing programme to faciliate expansion into specialty plastic films, mainly based on PVC. The investment follows another significant one in a system for superior quality control that was made last year.

"These investments and the ongoing programme to further expand into spcialty products shows that we and our owners have confidence in the renewed strategy and in our plan to become Europe's leading producer of niche specialty films," says Riflex managing director Magnus Jörsmo.

Swedish company Riflex is owned by the private Norwegian company Skanem AS. Riflex employs 50 people and exports more than 95% of its products.
