RECTICEL
Foams processor has new facilities in China and Morocco / Closure of plant in the Netherlands
PU foam specialist Recticel's (Brussels / Belgium; www.recticel.com) expansions are developing, with two new technical foams converting units in Wuxi, Jiangsu / China and Tangier / Morocco. The company's Insulation division will start up a new production plant in Finland in Q4 2018 – see Plasteurope.com of 29.06.2017 – and divestment of its automotive business is also "progressing according to plan" – see Plasteurope.com of 29.03.2018.

The two new sites in China and Morocco will belong to Recticel's Flexible Foams business segment. This division intends to close its production plant in Buren / The Netherlands at the end of 2018.

Recticel recorded growth in sales and earnings in the first half of 2018. Despite an adverse currency effect, sales were up 4% at EUR 580m compared to the same period in 2017. EBITDA climbed 28% to EUR 45.4m and profit for the period by 31% to EUR 18.7m.
