Plastics recycling charity Recoup (Peterborough / UK; www.recoup.org) has postponed its next “Plastics Recycling Conference” to 30 September 2021. The annual event was initially scheduled to take place on 24 September 2020. The decision to reschedule the conference is a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, following constant discussions between Recoup and the conference venue in Peterborough.

Anne Hitch, Recoup’s citizen and stakeholder engagement manager, said while it is disappointing, it is crucial that the safety and welfare of attendees and staff is the priority. “It is a double disappointment as 2020 marks 30 years of Recoup’s influence and work within plastics resources and recycling,” she added. Recoup CEO Stuart Foster said the conference has gone from “strength to strength in recent years, and we will be back, better than ever in 2021.”
