— By Plasteurope.com staff —

Swedish compounder Polykemi (Ystad; www.polykemi.se) is experiencing strong demand in the US. As a result, the company plans to install a third extruder next year at its US site in Gastonia, North Carolina, which it opened in 2023. Commissioning in 2027 is set to increase current capacity of 7,000 t/y by 50%, said Johan Hugoson, head of US operations. The sales department for North America has already been expanded, he added.
