Swedish compounder adds production capability

Compounder Polykemi (Ystad / Sweden; www.polykemi.se) has added a Coperion (Stuttgart; www.coperion.com) 58 mm twin-screw extruder to its production. The new manufacturing line is to meet the demand for fibre-reinforced and flame-retardant compounds, such as needed for electric vehicles.
In addition, the company has installed new dosing systems to enable the use of additives in granular or liquid form in plastic compounds. The Swedish company announced several capacity expansions in 2018 – see Plasteurope.com of 06.04.2018.
