Sabic EuroPetrochemicals new HQ at Sittard
Sabic EuroPetrochemicals, European subsidiary of Saudi Arabia´s Sabic (www.sabic.com), will locate its headquarters at Bedriven Stad Fortuna at Sittard in The Netherlands. Since Sabic acquired the petrochemicals business of DSM in spring of 2002, the new European offshoot has operated from a DSM office in Sittard. Sabic points to the proximity of the location to production sites at Geleen in The Netherlands and Gelsenkirchen in Germany and the fact that it moved its European headquarters from London to Sittard earlier this year. A “prestigious” new building, reported to cost EUR 40m, is due for completion at the site in 2005.
