Vita takes sole ownership of Canadian jv
For a cash consideration of CAD 36.6m (EUR 23m) British Vita (BV, GB-Middleton Manchester; www.britishvita.com) has bought the outstanding 50% of its Canadian group companies Vitafoam Products Canada, Engineered Foam Products and subsidiaries. Vita has owned 50% of the Vitafoam Canada business since 1973 alongside its partners, the Himel family. The acquisition includes 100% of Tormay Management Corp and 641703 Ontario Ltd, which supply ancillary services to the flexible PU foam operation of Vitafoam Canada. British Vita CEO David Campbell termed the purchase a strategic geographic extension of the company´s global leadership in cellular polymers.
