Visitor numbers rise again at annual Istanbul plastics fair
The 26th “Plast Eurasia” (www.plasteurasia.com) event, which took place from 7-10 December 2016 in Istanbul / Turkey, attracted 48,725 visitors in total, an increase of 1,419 people from the year before, according to organiser Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions (Istanbul; www.tuyap.com.tr).
The number of international visitors, however, fell to 5,116 from 2015’s level of 8,269. The top 10 foreign visitors were Germany, Tunisia, Morocco, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Bulgaria and Algeria.
Overall, executives from 41 countries and 957 global companies exhibited across the 100,000 m² space with 67% of visitors placing orders at the fair or stating they will order afterwards.
The next Plast Eurasia Istanbul fair will be held on 6-9 December 2017.
