Plastiflex (Paal-Beringen / Belgium; www.plastiflex.com) officially opened its new headquarters and innovation centre at Paal-Beringen on 21 November 2019 in the presence of local and provincial dignitaries. With the new corporate infrastructure, which includes a dedicated cleanroom facility, the plastic hose specialist said it is sending a “clear signal about its ambitious plans” for the future. In the recent past, the company has “significantly” expanded in its core markets such as flexible hoses for medical devices, vacuum cleaners and pool cleaners.
In the innovation centre, Plastiflex said its engineers will develop ideas for products that will be manufactured at one of its six global locations – in Europe at Kežmarok / Slovakia and Caldes de Montbui / Spain, in North America at Statesville, North Carolina / USA and Tijuana / Mexico and in China at Suzhou, Jiangsu, and Dongguan, Guangdong. Along with its investment in “brick and mortar,” the company, which has sales offices in Australia, Belgium, China, Spain, the UK and the US, said it has also pumped significant amounts of money into the development of innovative devices for the healthcare sector.
