Jean-Michel Szczerba appointed co-CEO of French OEM

It looks as though Laurent Burelle, the 65-year-old CEO of automotive supplier Plastic Omnium (PO, Levallois / France; www.plasticomnium.com), is thinking about retiring from his operative functions. At the beginning of 2016, the company appointed Jean-Michel Szczerba as co-chief executive. Szczerba, who has been with PO since 1985, previously served as deputy CEO.
The appointment follows the company’s acquisition of competitor Faurecia’s (Nanterre / France; www.faurecia.com) exteriors business – see Plasteurope.com of 15.12.2015.
