Researchers at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology have found elevated concentrations of PFAS – the so-called forever chemicals – on Swiss ski slopes. Considered harmful to both the environment and human health, these per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances end up in the Alpine snow as they rub off waxed cross-country skis.

What is supposed to help athletes move forward sets nature back for eternity – lap after lap after lap after lap…
