PLASTIC FANTASTIC
Let's have Teflon for lunch
— By Plasteurope.com staff —

Right or wrong, slim and slender are often considered the standard of beauty. All over the world, people are struggling in gyms to shed their extra kilos. Others stick to strict diets and starve themselves of voluptuousness in favour of the skeletal ideal. Still others rely on the power of chemistry and inject themselves with the latest miracle weight-loss drug. But trimming down could be even easier with the help of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), commonly known as Teflon. US researchers have discovered that adding PTFE to food in a 2:1 ratio fills the stomach and triggers a feeling of satiety. Never mind the discussion about toxic PFAS – losing weight requires sacrifice, after all. And so with an eye to portion control, our next steak will be much smaller, because we’ll simply eat the Teflon pan along with it.
