Alas, Legolas, thy inner self is impure. Let us purge thee for a not so immoderate sum.
Ahem. British actor Orlando Bloom has reportedly paid GBP 10,000 (EUR 11,700) to have toxins and microplastics cleaned from his blood. Famous for roles such as the elf Legolas in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies, the 48-year-old is said to have undergone the procedure in London.

For further clarification, reports note the treatment was performed by the Clarify Clinic in the UK capital. A number of commentators derided the therapy, with one dubbing it “pseudoscience”.
Everybody knows where this guy earned his money, right? Those trilogies combined to gross more than EUR 5 bn, and Bloom is said to be considering reprising his role as the unstoppable elven fighting machine in the upcoming film The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Golum, which is also based on the works of fantasy novelist J.R.R. Tolkien.
Perhaps Bloom is trying to be true to the stories, which take place in an age long before the advent of plastics.
