PLASTIC FANTASTIC
The last straw: plastic trumps paper
— By Plasteurope.com staff —

An honest man’s word is as good as his bond. Shortly following his second inauguration as President of the United States, Donald Trump promised to reverse the worst of all the egregious political mistakes made by his predecessor Joe Biden: the ban on plastic straws. No sooner said than done.

Since then, US government bodies and agencies have been as busy as bees drafting orders and decrees to turn Trump’s every fancy into reality. Now the White House has reaffirmed that the single-use plastics ban (SAD!) passed by the Democrats (boo!) will soon be overturned. This will finally put an end to soggy paper tubes freeloading in long drinks and free us from the plant-based stalks invading our colas – hip, hip, hooray! We’re raising a plastic cup to SUP Liberation Day!
