PLASTIC FANTASTIC
New in “weird stuff people steal”
Police in June reported that a plastic skeleton with sunglasses, a hat and shawl was stolen in Homburg / Germany. Since the perpetrator is as yet unknown, one can only guess at the motivation. Kleptomania? Drunken prank? Considering the skeleton, valued at a somewhat un-whopping 80 euros, was mounted on wooden steps with multiple screws, we’re going to go ahead and say it wasn’t a crime of opportunity.

Perhaps the best guess is that after months of social isolation and no one to talk to but that smiley face pillow brought home from some fair years ago, the humanoid skeleton across the street was too tempting a companion. And probably just as lonely.
