PLASTIC FANTASTIC
Smart robot vacuum needed
Hopefully only water goes down the drain (Photo: PIE)
The plastics industry departed Düsseldorf on 23 October 2019 and left “K 2019” with refreshing perspectives and perhaps tender tootsies. Drycleaners have been kept busy, and the exhibition grounds have been cleared up too. Behind halls 16 and 17 there was a bit more work to do with some colourful plastic resin spilling over into the trade fair environment.

Some advice from the anti-marine litter initiative “Zero Pellet Loss” – see Plasteurope.com of 05.07.2019 – includes using the basic broom-and-dustpan setup to sweep up the pellets. No doubt that a vacuum cleaner would be great here. Perhaps a robotic one that uses an AI platform is the best option.
