PLASTIC FANTASTIC
One fine conspiracy theory

Some spectacular cars were introduced to filmgoers in 80s Hollywood movies, like the “DeLorean” in Robert Zemeckis’ “Back to the Future” trilogy. Another impressive model appeared in the German B-movie “Killing Cars” – the “Albar Sonic”. German actor Jürgen Prochnow plays the role of a savvy engineer who develops the ground-breaking prototype of a futuristic e-car.

As a consequence, the oil industry’s evil managers have to employ all the criminal finesse they can muster to put a halt to the Albar Sonic. Are we dealing with similar machinations 35 years later, when looking at Tesla’s poor performance today? “Dieselgate” was real, but the idea of a conspiracy against Tesla is a screenplay that is perhaps better off in the bottom drawer of the archives.
